POTPOURRI...
This page is a little of everything. Areas not touched on such as golf courses, schools, restaurants, funeral homes, resorts, entertainment facilities, etc are areas where sandblasted signs have gained wide acceptance. Look around & feel free to call with your questions about sandblasted signs & your project.

While the photograph is not the greatest, we've included this photo for the whimsical effect it creates for this dentist's sign. When asked if he had any ideas of what he'd like his sign to look like, he replied "my business card is kind of interesting" and it was. It had a bite out of the corner very much like his sign also has now. Wood is a very versatile design material with unlimited design possibilities. It is also a renewable resource.
Our
website would not be complete without some mention of urethane foam, also know as
HDU . I've included this photo again because is one of the clearest
background shots that we have on hand. As you can see, it has the effect of
stone on the blasted area and that is because is has no grain characteristics
like wood. Some signmakers are blasting through piano wire to make the
background look like wood grain, but it's a poor substitute. Our rule is this.
If you want it to look like wood, use wood. If you want it to look like stone,
use urethane foam.
This
sign is an excellent example of combining another decorative element to a wood
sign to achieve an attention getting result on an already attractive sign. This
was one of many on the complex sharing the same theme.
Golf courses are one of the most widely accepted uses for sandblasted wood
signs in the world today. Tee signs with colorful hole layouts, yardage
information and hole numbers are an attractive addition to discriminating golf
courses. Entry sign identifications and directional often complete the package
for upscale courses.
